Konekt

An Inner Reboot: Encoded in Frames

KONEKT is a unique story about a woman’s inner awakening, and a secret global movement reshaping the consciousness of humankind.

The protagonist, Eszter, is a young advertising professional who appears functional on the surface, but inside, she’s falling apart. Her workplace exploits her, her relationship is emotionally hollow, and her family background is toxic. In a final attempt to break free, she joins a revolutionary therapeutic program called KONEKT, where she must confront her repressed traumas in a virtual reality built from her own memories.

As she dives deeper, she realizes that KONEKT is not merely a healing technology, but a global initiative operating behind the scenes, one that through the reprogramming of the human mind, lays the foundations for a radically new society. A future that rejects consumerist competition, mitigates social alienation and environmental destruction, and instead builds on inner freedom, the purification of memories, and profound connectedness.

KONEKT is being created through collective effort. Its budget is made possible by private donors, independent producers, and committed supporters.
If you believe that the future begins with awareness, join our mission.

This is not just a film. It’s an invitation.

By supporting this project, you help bring to life a film that doesn’t just entertain, it provokes reflection, connection, and transformation.

Concept art

Concept art images offer a glimpse into one of the most exciting phases of filmmaking: they are the visual plans that help dream up and shape the world of the film before a single frame is shot. With these visual designs, we reveal what the key locations of Konekt look like. The images are both aesthetic and functional, creative maps for the crew and the audience alike.

virtual reality built from memories

The helmet of the Konektahedron

Discover new dimensions of consciousness with the Konektahedron! The Konektahedron is not just a VR headset. It is the most enigmatic technology in the world of KONEKT, a revolutionary breakthrough in neuroscience that allows the user not only to relive, but to truly enter the memories of their own past. By stimulating deep layers of brainwave activity, the device creates an interactive, memory-based simulation: you don’t just watch what you’ve lived through—you can choose again, feel again.
The story’s protagonist, Eszter, begins her inner journey with this device.

The Center of Consciousness Reformation

The World of KONEKT

The KONEKT headquarters resembles a cold, industrial complex from the outside: its geometric structure of steel, concrete, and glass feels distant and closed off. Inside, however, lie hypermodern technological spaces, all designed to serve the mapping and transformation of human consciousness. This is where participants’ memories are analyzed and digitally retuned, supporting inner healing and laying the foundation for a society built upon the reconstructed minds of individuals.

At the heart of the facility are several Konektahedrons, extraordinary VR headsets that combine neurological interfaces with memory-based simulation technology. The Konektahedron is KONEKT’s most advanced and mysterious device, enabling users not only to relive but to truly enter their own past memories. By stimulating deep layers of brainwave activity, the headset generates interactive, reinterpretable experiences: you don’t just watch what you’ve lived, you can choose again, feel again.

At the core of KONEKT’s operations lies the Central Brain, a cutting-edge computer system that controls the entire artificial intelligence network. This system is not pre-programmed; it continuously learns through the consciousness of its participants. Their experiences, memories, and internal processes serve as data, from which the Central Brain draws conclusions and feeds the collective cognitive database-map of KONEKT.

Eszter, the story’s protagonist, begins her inner journey with this device, toward a truth that reaches beyond herself. As she delves deeper, she uncovers not only her own mind, but also the hidden vision of the future behind KONEKT.

A Glimpse into the Sound World of KONEKT

Music

Bence Grivant’s “Shadows of Regret” is more than a musical backdrop, it creates a standalone atmosphere that deeply resonates with the soul of the film. The delicate, shimmering strings and floating electronic textures evoke Eszter’s inner world: fragility and tension, slow transformation and quiet rebellion. The music gradually builds as Eszter dives deeper into her own consciousness, the sound thickens around her, becoming an auditory reflection of memory and reprogramming. Refined, minimalist, and strikingly human, it mirrors the emotional core of the story it was written for. This excerpt is just a glimpse into the sonic landscape that accompanies Eszter throughout the film, gently guiding the viewer along the shifting edge between memory and illusion, reality and transformation.

Development

2022. October - 2025. June

This phase is about the birth of the story, world-building, and creative research. The screenplay is constantly being refined, while the first concept visuals and character sketches are created, and we begin to establish the film’s stylistic and thematic foundations.

This stage also included the creation of concept art, test shoots, and experimenting with the dynamics between the characters.

Pre-production

2025. June - 2026. April

During this nearly year-long period, the full preparation for the film’s production takes place. This includes:
  • casting and contracting the actors,

  • designing the sets, costumes, and technical solutions,
  • assembling the crew,
  • and finalizing the production schedule and budget.
This phase ensures that the filming process can proceed smoothly.

Shooting

2026. May

The filming of the movie takes place over an intense 3–4 week period, across multiple locations, with precisely choreographed scenes.

During this month, the creative vision comes to life: the Konektahedron, Eszter’s journeys through consciousness, and the digital-past spaces all transform into real, cinematic frames.

Post-production

2026. June - 2026. November

This is where the raw footage becomes a true film: editing, color correction, sound design, music, visual effects, and VR-like digital elements all fall into place.

This phase is especially exciting, as it is here that Konekt’s unique atmosphere and visual world fully come together.

Private premiere

2026. December

Supporters will be the first to experience the universe of Konekt at a private cinema screening, accompanied by an exclusive event featuring a meet-and-greet, a roundtable discussion, and a wine tasting.

Cinema and Streaming

From 2028. January

The film will become available to a wider audience in cinemas, followed by release on streaming platforms a few weeks later. The goal is for Konekt to reach an international audience as well, especially fans of sci-fi and thought-provoking dramas.
